As the year winds down, UrbanTurf is taking a final look at the neighborhoods in the DC region where homes sold the quickest this year.
Using the median days on market metric, we highlighted nine neighborhoods where homes are selling the fastest. Neighborhoods needed to have at least 10 sales this year to be included on the list.
Leading the way was Glen Echo, a Maryland neighborhood off MacArthur Boulevard where homes rarely hit the market and sold in just four days on median this year. The lesser-known DC neighborhoods of Colonial Village and Kent, along with the Alexandria neighborhood of Del Ray, are just behind Glen Echo, with homes selling in five days.
There were five neighborhoods where listings sold on median in 6 days including: AU Park, Cabin John, Crestwood, Burleith, and Falls Church.
