250-Unit Apartment Building Pitched Off Fairfax Drive In Arlington

The number of multi-family developments on the boards in Arlington continues to grow.
Trammell Crow filed plans with Arlington County last week for a new 249-unit apartment project at 1200 North Wayne Street (map). The plan is demolish the existing townhouses at the address to make way for the 10-story building.
There will be approximately 205 parking spaces on three below-grade parking levels accessed from Fairfax Drive, and as part of the project, the pedestrian connection between North Wayne Street and Fairfax Drive will be preserved. SK+I Architecture designed the project.
The proposal for the new multi-family development is just the latest residential project pitched in Arlington. Here are a few others proposed in recent months:
