Rendering of 1020 Monroe
Columbia Heights’ newest condominium, the 28-unit 1020 Monroe, held its first official event yesterday evening to kick off sales.
Located at 11th and Monroe NW (map) at one end of what The New York Times christened DC’s “hip strip” earlier this year, 1020 Monroe is expected to finish construction and deliver in mid-November. While that delivery date is still tentative, Urban Pace, who handles sales and marketing for the project, will start by-appointment-only sales today.
Also yesterday, construction began on 1020 Monroe’s ground floor retail space, which will house the latest offering from the owners of Adams Morgan’s Tryst and Open City (see rendering above). Construction is expected to last at least six to eight months.
Because it is still wrapping up construction, only two units at 1020 Monroe were open to viewing last night:
- Unit #206 – 1BR/1BA – 763 square feet – $339,900 – $319 condo fee
- Unit #208 – 2BR/1.5BA – 1,072 square feet – $454,900 – $437 condo fee
