In this week's Under Contract, UrbanTurf takes a look at three recently-featured listings that found buyers, including the smallest home currently on the market in the city.
Condo Inside a Dupont Mansion Finds Buyer in Four Days
This 2,000 square-foot, two-level condo in a late 19th century mansion went under contract four days after hitting the market. The private entryway includes stained glass features, a chandelier and subtle striped wallpaper. Sliding doors lead into a formal dining room, complete with a built-in china cabinet and a fireplace. The formal sitting room includes tall windows and another grand fireplace, and the kitchen features a historic red brick hearth. All three bedrooms include an en-suite bath, however, the primary suite includes an additional cutout that makes for the ideal lounge area. A small den includes a space for a desk and French doors that open to a small balcony.

This craftsman in 16th Street Heights spent just five days on the market, and the buyer probably liked what they saw out back. The backyard of the four-bedroom home was converted into a professionally designed English garden, featuring shaped shrubbery, a central fountain and a gazebo. Other standout features of the home include a large living room with a sculpted mantle, an attic converted into an angled extra bedroom, and a spacious multi-purpose room in the basement that could be a good space for an office or at-home library.

DC's Smallest Home Finds a Buyer in a Week
DC's smallest home for sale, a 265 square foot studio in Park View, spent just a week on the market. The compact unit is owned by a foreign service officer who uses it when she is in the U.S. The condo has furnishings that are common for a unit this small, such as a futon that doubles as a couch and a bed, a kitchen island with built-in storage that could be used as a dining table or a desk, and an ottoman with built-in storage that is heavy enough for a guest to sit on.
