What do you do after selling a chunk of the world's most successful ride-sharing app? Apparently you buy a $36 million New York City penthouse.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick has purchased a four-bedroom penthouse in a Renzo Piano-designed building in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood. The penthouse was originally listed for $40.5 million earlier this year.

Still under construction, the 6,655 square-foot apartment will have private elevator access, as well as a heated pool and an outdoor kitchen on a roof terrace.
The Journal reports that Kalanick sold 30 percent of his stake in Uber to Soft Bank earlier this year for $1.4 billion, so relatively speaking, this apartment purchase isn't all that expensive.
