Two Mid-Sized Condo Projects Headed to Bethesda

Bethesda Lane
Downtown Bethesda is getting in on the mid-sized condo project frenzy.
On Tuesday, Bisnow broke news of a 17-story, 70-unit condo project planned for 4990 Fairmont Avenue (map), a few blocks north of the Bethesda Metro station. Starr Capital and a partner will develop the new project called The Fairmont. As far as a timeline, it could be two years before ground is broken.
Today, the Washington Business Journal reported that another mid-sized condo project is on the boards for the tony neighborhood just outside DC. Toll Brothers will break ground in the fall of 2013 on a seven-story, 60-unit luxury condo development at 4915 Hampden Lane (map). Sales are expected to start in Spring 2014.
