Benjamin “B.N.” Eisenberg constructed the Eisenberg House in Baltimore on a lot overlooking Lake Montebello in 1947 for his second wife, Eunice. The art deco-style of the home is likely inspired by the couple’s extensive time spent in Miami Beach.
Living room
For years, Eisenberg ran an electrical and mechanical shop that manufactured sump pumps and commercial-sized fans. Consequently, he was able to incorporate energy-efficient systems into the home’s construction, including gas-fired water-heated floors and a whole house fan with what his granddaughter describes as an “integrated fresh-air ventilation system”.

The J-shaped ranch house has an eye-catching stucco exterior, painted chartreuse with turquoise trim that features a white overhang “eyebrow”. The art deco influence is evident courtesy of the home’s curved walls and panels comprised of 12-by-12” cedar-ribbed glass block tiles.
Rear patio
The open area of the house contains the living and dining rooms, featuring a window that follows the curve of the house, sandwiched between two sets of built-in shelving cubbies. The lake remains visible from the living room and master bedroom.
More details and photos are below for the home that is now on the market.
