The priciest condo to sell in the DC region in nearly 18 months closed just before the new year.
On the same day that the most expensive home to ever sell in the DC area closed, a penthouse at The Ritz-Carlton Residences in Georgetown sold for $10.25 million. The five-bedroom unit, listed with Daniel Heider of TTR Sotheby's International Realty, is the largest residence in the building, with 6,400 ft.² of interior space, and nearly 3,000 ft.² of outdoor space.
The unit also features a private elevator, a huge primary suite with wraparound windows, four garage parking spaces and access to all of the hotel amenities at The Ritz-Carlton.
The unit is the most expensive condo sale in the city since a 5,500 square-foot unit at Amaris, a new luxury condominium development at the Wharf, sold for almost $13 million back in the spring of 2023, the most expensive condo to ever sell in the city.
