The Channel Apartments Debut at The Wharf
Washingtonians have watched closely as the crane-silhouetted Wharf has transformed into DC’s hottest neighborhood. With the first move-ins coming this month, the final touches are being put on one of the area’s most buzzed about and exceptional properties: the 12-story, 501-apartment building The Channel.
The Channel (map) is almost a neighborhood of its own. Perched at the water’s edge in Southwest, the property is anchored by a variety of exciting retail including Politics & Prose, a whiskey bar, a waterfront pub (The Brighton) and three restaurants (La Vie, Mi Vida and Shake Shack). The Channel will also be home to The Anthem, DC’s newest music venue from the team behind 9:30 Club.
Apartments at The Channel range in size from efficient studios with Murphy beds and clever storage to spacious 1,300-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bath units. Inside, stylish corridors with a boutique hotel vibe give way to industrial-chic residences featuring sliding barn doors, polished concrete flooring, white gloss-finished cabinetry and contrasting black hardware. High-end finishes include large, glassed-in standing showers, custom-made coat wardrobes, carpeted bedrooms, movable kitchen islands with butcher-block tops and in-unit washer/dryers. The building aesthetic features exposed beams, reclaimed wood and heavy gridded windows.
More than half of the apartments offer sweeping views of the Potomac River and beyond, while others have views of the Washington Monument and the Capitol. The property has also invested in high-quality cell service for the entire building, so residents will always be seamlessly connected.
Residents of The Channel will have spectacular amenities at their fingertips, from the brand new waterfront promenade to one-of-a-kind, in-building spaces that act as an extension of each individual apartment.
Amenities include a glass-bottom rooftop pool with an infinity edge and cabanas; a 5,500-square-foot, double height gym offering everything from yoga to Crossfit; a party room with a demonstration kitchen and farmhouse table; a game room with a giant Scrabble wall and a 65-foot custom mural; a roof deck area with rocking chairs; a sky lobby with a double-height fireplace; a penthouse lounge; a rooftop community garden, dog run and bocce court; and more.
Visit or contact the leasing office to learn about exciting incentives. Residents also become members of The Founders Club, with exclusive offers from the restaurants, shops, hotels, music venues and recreation experiences at The Wharf.
The Wharf Kickoff Celebration begins on October 12th. Many of the Wharf’s new restaurants and bars will debut then, as will the new regional water taxi and free Southwest Shuttle.
