The Best Open Houses in the DC Area this Weekend

As summer winds down, we decided to mix up the open house feature and give you a smattering of properties from DC, Maryland and Virginia. This weekend, we recommend visiting a one-bedroom co-op in Adams Morgan, a four-bedroom rambler in Bethesda and a two-bedroom condo in Old Town, Alexandria.
One-Bedroom Co-op in Boutique Building in Adams Morgan

1801 Clydesdale Place NW, #113 (see map here)
This address may seem familiar to some readers and that is because we featured a one-bedroom open house in this building last week. This unit is slightly larger and has a total of seven windows that provide multiple exposures. The living area is large and the kitchen has been renovated with the usual package of stainless steel appliances and granite counters. The building has a 24-hour front desk and a huge roof deck and the monthly fees include taxes, water, and gas. The open house is Sunday, August 23rd from 1 to 4pm. For the full listing, click here.
Four-Bedroom Rambler with Beautiful Living Room in Bethesda

8308 Lilly Stone Drive, Bethesda, MD (see map here)
This four-bedroom single-level rambler in Bethesda has, in our opinion, one of the nicest living rooms we have seen in awhile. A wall of windows frames one side of the room with views into the woods and the hardwood floors and fireplace give it a very homey feel. A large family room on the lower feel has a similar, if less refined feel. The other advantage to this property is the huge lot that it sits on and the enormous yard in back. The open house is Sunday, August 23rd from 1 to 3pm. For the full listing, click here.
“Sun-Filled” Two-Bedroom Condo in Old Town, Alexandria

1617 Hunting Creek Drive, #23, Alexandria, VA (see map here)
While many people will like the open floor plan of this unit, its main draw may be its location. The home is walking distance to Potomac Greens and the commercial district of Old Town, Alexandria and just about a mile from the Braddock Road Metro on the Blue and Yellow lines. The community also has a tennis court and swimming pool, and comes with a garage parking space. The open house is Sunday, August 23rd from 1 to 4pm. For the full listing, click here.
