The Best New Listings in the DC Area
This week’s best new listings include a renovated one-bedroom condo in Mount Pleasant, a three-bedroom townhouse in between the U Street Corridor and Adams Morgan and a three-bedroom bungalow in Arlington with a great family room.
Renovated One-Bedroom in Mount Pleasant
1708 Newton Street NW, Unit 105 (see map here)
Renovated in 2006, this one-bedroom, one-bath condo in Mount Pleasant looks almost brand new. The living and dining area are separated from the rest of the unit by French doors, and the kitchen includes a breakfast bar and great custom cabinets that unfortunately do not convey but can be purchased separately. The bedroom has two closets and a small alcove that would make for a nice office/desk area. At $325K, this is slightly pricey for the neighborhood, but worth it based on the renovations. Three-Bedroom Townhouse in Between Adams Morgan and the U Street Corridor
1724 V Street NW (see map here)
It is hard to describe what neighborhood this three-bedroom townhouse is in as it seems to sit between the U Street Corridor and Adams Morgan. The fact that it does not seem to fall in either of these areas does not take away from its appeal, though. The first floor has very high ceilings and the living area, which includes a wall of exposed brick, leads into a large dining area and kitchen. The master bedroom has a large custom closet, the second bedroom is only slightly smaller than the master and the third would make for a good home office. The home also has a back deck and an off-street parking space. For the full listing, click here.
Three-Bedroom Bungalow in Arlington with Great Family Room
1733 N. Cameron Street, Arlington, VA (see map here)
Perhaps the best part of this three-bedroom bungalow in Arlington is the family room (see above). A stairwell descends from the second floor to the middle of the open room providing a nice separation between it and the dining area. For more formal entertaining, there is a separate living room at the front of the home that measures 25 feet across. The kitchen has been updated as well as the bathroom in the master bedroom. There is a large deck off the back of the house, and a detached one-car garage behind the backyard. For those that don’t drive, the home is one mile from the Ballston Metro on the Orange Line.
