Testing the Waters: How Much For a Columbia Heights Row House?
An UrbanTurf reader who is moving in with his fiancee at the end of the summer and wants to rent his three-bedroom row house in Columbia Heights recently wrote in asking if our readers could help him price it appropriately. Below are all the pertinent details, so give him some price recommendations in the comments section.
* Address: 11th and Harvard Street NW (map) * Bedrooms: Three * Bathrooms: 2.5 * Square Footage: 1,200 * Year Renovated: 2010 * Description of home: The house was built in 1986 and renovated in 2010. The kitchen and bathrooms are new, as are the windows, the hardwood floors on the first level and carpet on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The second floor consists of the master bedroom, and the third floor is two smaller bedrooms (with just enough room for a queen bed and a dresser). The master bedroom and one of the bedrooms on the third floor have custom closets, there is laundry in the house, and a small patio and grill out front. There is also one parking spot included in the lot right out the front door. The house will be rented furnished with utilities included. * Parking: One space * Utilities: Cable/internet, electricity and water run about $240-$260 a month, and will be incorporated into the monthly rent charged to the tenants.
