Ten Offers, $385,000 Above List For An Award-Winning Craftsman
This Silver Spring craftsman won the Best in Living Home award from Professional Builder Magazine nearly 20 years ago, and that kind of recognition may have resulted in it receiving a lot of attention when it was on the market a couple months ago. The four-bedroom home received ten offers and ultimately sold in an all-cash, no contingency transaction for nearly $400,000 above the list price.
Warm wood is a primary component in the home, and can be seen in the door and window frames, crown molding, cabinetry and exposed living room ceiling beams. The primary suite on the main floor has a gas fireplace, radiant heat floors and a large spa-like bath with a soaking tub, a glass door-less walk-in shower and dual vanities. A wet bar stands out in the basement entertainment space and French doors lead to the backyard and hot tub area. A wrap-around front porch is perfect for entertaining on summer evenings.
