In the market for a bed and breakfast? Dupont Circle’s Swann House just hit the market this weekend.
The 14-bedroom property is massive, and as one might expect from a bed and breakfast, there are plenty of luxurious trimmings, like intricately carved fireplaces in the bedrooms, whirlpool bathtubs, a swimming pool, and many private terraces. The house was built in 1883 and has an appropriately historic feel.
As DCmud reported last fall, an auction was planned for the property, but it was canceled and the owners filed for bankruptcy.
Swann House joins a handful of other bed and breakfasts in the area that have gone on the market in the past couple of years. DC GuestHouse, a smaller bed and breakfast, sold last month for $1.95 million after sitting on the market for over a year.
