Stephen Strasburg's McLean Home Sells For $8.55 Million

The end is officially here for Stephen Strasburg's time in DC. 

The sale of the nearly 12,000 square-foot McLean house of the former Washington Nationals pitcher and World Series champion closed on Friday for $8.55 million. The six-bedroom home listed for just south of $10 million back in June with Wetherly Barker Hemeon of TTR Sotheby's International Realty.

Built in 2020, the property was customized in recent years and includes a state-of-the-art kitchen with two large islands, a golf simulator/theatre room, a huge gym, and a pool house with a gas fireplace and TV, as well as an outdoor kitchen with bar seating and a Viking grill.

Strasburg announced in April that he was retiring from professional baseball after a 15-year career with the Nationals. He is the latest National to make real estate headlines in the area. Check out UrbanTurf's other coverage below:
