Foxhall Ridge, the newest townhome community in DC's Palisades neighborhood, hit the market in March. Five months later, nearly half of the 32 townhomes have sold and the development recently debuted new models to meet increased demand.
Foxhall Ridge consists of two distinct townhouse styles, The Enclave and The Terraces, each reflecting architecture that is unique to the quiet Palisades neighborhood, which serves as a coveted respite from the rest of the city. Just five Enclave homes remain and a handful of newly completed Terraces homes, the community’s most spacious properties, were recently unveiled.
The Enclave townhouses were designed in the Federal style of the late 1700s. At four stories, the homes have open floor plans, rooftop terraces, and measure out just shy of 2,100 square feet. The remaining townhouses, including one end unit, range in price from the mid $900,000s to just over $1 million.
The Terraces were designed in the brownstone tradition and range in size from 3,000 to 4,300 square feet. They feature rooftop decks, huge master suites and the option to install an elevator. Prices for The Terraces range between $1.39 and $1.9 million.
All homes at Foxhall Ridge have oak hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and Cardell cabinetry. Owners can also choose their own finishes, and many of the townhomes have features that city dwellers count as luxuries: double-sided fireplaces, two-car garages, outdoor space and sweeping views of DC’s skyline.
Foxhall Ridge is located less than a mile from Georgetown’s high-end boutiques and restaurants, and the C&O Canal, a picturesque walkway ideal for walking and biking. In the opposite direction, MacArthur Boulevard has a quaint commercial area with a number of highly-praised restaurants, including BlackSalt and Makoto.
