Last week, we reported via Housing Complex that a penthouse at the Ritz Carlton residences in Georgetown sold for $7.295M, apparently a new record for a condominium sale in DC.
After some digging, Housing Complex author Ruth Samuelson discovered the identity of the seller: Jamie Darvish. So, who is that?
From a Washingtonian article in April 2006:
“Car mogul Jamie Darvish bought a four-bedroom, six-bathroom penthouse apartment [in 2006] at the Ritz-Carlton in Georgetown for $4.5 million. The apartment listed for $6 million and has a master bedroom with a wall of windows overlooking the Potomac as well as a private terrace. Darvish, whose father, John Darvish, founded Darcars Automotive Group, is general manager of his family’s company.”
Now that we know the seller, the only question that remains is: Who is the buyer?
Stay tuned.
