Price Cutter: Shaw Townhouse, U Street Condo and Arlington Colonial
In Price Cutter this week, UrbanTurf is highlighting recent price reductions on a number of properties that we have featured over the last couple months.
Two-Bedroom Shaw Townhouse With Potential for Third Bedroom
We featured this two-bedroom townhouse a block from the Shaw Metro in Best New Listings back in September. The price of the listing recently dropped by a little more than $15,000 and is now just below $500,000. When initially featured, UrbanTurf liked the potential for a third bedroom, which could also be used as an office or nursery, the very private garden and its proximity to Bloomingdale.
- Full listing: 617 Rhode Island Ave. NW (map)
- Original Price: $515,000
- New Price: $499,000
- Bedrooms: Two
- Bathrooms: 2.5
- Year Built: 1880
Two-Bedroom Condo Not Far From Adams Morgan
UrbanTurf has been tracking this two-bedroom condo not far from Adams Morgan and Dupont Circle since it emerged on the market in July. We first highlighted it as a Best New Listing, and featured it again when the price was slashed by $10,000 in September. Now the price has dropped another $14,000. The dark bedrooms, square footage and the fact that the second bedroom is closed off by French doors from the living room may explain the lack of interest so far.
- Full listing: 1752 U Street NW, #2 (map)
- Original Price: $439,900
- New Price: $415,000
- Bedrooms: Two
- Bathrooms: One
- Year Built: 1910
Three-Bedroom Colonial in Arlington
This three-bedroom Arlington colonial was featured in Best New Listings early last month. We liked the family-friendly layout, which features a second floor with three-bedrooms, the finished basement, large deck and backyard. Located in the Dominion Hills section of Arlington off Route 66, the price on this home recently dropped by $10,000.
- Full listing: 908 Patrick Henry Dr., Arlington, VA (map)
- Original Price: $599,999
- New Price: $589,999
- Bedrooms: Three
- Bathrooms: Two
- Year Built: 1947
