Parking Panda, the Baltimore-based website that allows homeowners to rent out their parking spaces by the hour, day or month, will be launching in DC in mid-April. The goal of the site is to connect those on the hunt for a spot with people (or commercial garages) that have parking to spare.
Even though the site isn’t launching in DC for a few weeks, Parking Panda CEO Nick Miller told UrbanTurf that those who want to use the site can go on and register their space now. Miller estimates that the average cost for a space in DC will run a driver about $2-$3 an hour or $15 a day. While there is no app yet, Parking Panda does offer a mobile version of its site, so that you can look up spots on your phone if you find yourself in a bind.
