Park Place
The retail and restaurants that will eventually occupy the ground floor retail space at Park Place, the relatively new Petworth apartment complex that is making renting there seem very enticing, have been made public.
Prince of Petworth is reporting that Cricket (the wireless store that PoP aptly describes as “taking over” DC) recently put up a sign in one of the vacant spaces, and Subway and the sushi and Thai restaurant Sala Thai will also be occupying space.
However, what excites us most is that a new brunch/diner establishment from the Tynan Coffee and Tea folks will be opening up shop, according to PoP. Aside from Logan Tavern and Founding Farmers (a little out of our price range most Sunday mornings), DC seems to be severely lacking good, decent-priced brunch options, so the arrival of a new place is relatively exciting…for a Thursday.
