As an indication of how quickly homes on the market are getting snapped up in DC these days, check out this ivy-covered townhouse in Georgetown.
The two-bedroom listing hit the market on Saturday with only an exterior photo; by Monday morning, it had found a buyer. The home, which had been in the same family for 60 years, sits on Poplar Street not far from Dumbarton Oaks.
The asking price of $495,000 and quiet location (map) appears to have appealed to a buyer undeterred by a phrase that, in a different market, would have stopped house hunters in their tracks: “perfect DIY project.”
