"For the week ending February 25, there were 4,866 new listings in the Bright MLS service area, up 6.9% from last year at this time," the report revealed. "This is the fourth consecutive week where new listings have exceeded numbers from the same period last year, a good sign for inventory as listing activity continues trending above last year."
While the data isn't specific to the DC region, it does come as welcome news. The number of homes on the market in the region in January compared to last year was down 5%, as home prices rose 7%.
