New Robert Gurney Home to Hit the Market
24 Wissioming Court
The final touches were recently put on a new home from local architect Robert Gurney, FAIA and it is set to hit that market right after Thanksgiving, UrbanTurf has learned.
The 10,000 square-foot, contemporary five-bedroom in Bethesda is all clean lines, squares and rectangles — even the fireplace sits on a flat plane on the wall, and the infinity pool is flush with the ground.

Gurney, who has stated that topography and Cubism inspire his designs, apparently wanted to maximize the view from a hilltop in Bethesda as the house has pane after pane of windows looking out onto trees and the Potomac. The house is divided into an informal living zone and a formal entertaining area, and the two are connected by a glass bridge. The master suite has two built-in desks and a bathtub sitting at the floor-to-ceiling windows. Though there isn’t much softness to the architecture, the wooden cabinets and room dividers add some warm colors.
The home was originally listed before it broke ground over a year ago. More photos and details below.
