New Condos in Logan Circle? A 65-Unit Development Pitched on Church Street

A new condo development is in the pipeline on a Logan Circle block that hasn't seen much development since the early 2000s.
Holladay Corporation has plans for a six-story, 65-unit condo project at 1455 and 1457 Church Street NW (map). The project would incorporate the façades of the two existing buildings and the adjacent empty lots at those addresses. The new development will include bi-level loft units, a roof deck amenity, a bike room, and 19 below-grade parking spaces accessible from the alley.

The project will require approval from the Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB); it is by-right otherwise and will also include Inclusionary Zoning units. Eric Colbert & Associates is the architect.
The ANC 2F voted unanimously on Wednesday to send a letter of support to HPRB. The new project would sit adjacent to the Rainbow Lofts, a former auto body shop that was converted to condos in 2004.
