Move over New York. Florida is nipping on your heels in the pricey home department.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that a compound set on over nine acres in Naples, Fla. is being listed for sale for $295 million, a potentially record-setting price for a home in the U.S. The listing is part of a 60-acre swath of land amassed by one family over the last several decades.

"With about 1,650 feet of waterfront, the property is the highest-priced listing in the U.S., and would set a record for the most expensive residential sale in the country if it fetches close to its asking price, according to Dawn McKenna of Coldwell Banker Realty, who is marketing the property with Leighton Candler of the Corcoran Group and Rory McMullen of Savills," the Journal reported.
The current record for the most expensive home ever sold in the U.S. belongs to a penthouse purchased in Manhattan back in 2019. Hedge fund manager Ken Griffin paid $240 million for the apartment along what is known as Billionaires Row.
