Mazza Residences In Friendship Heights Look To Open Soon, As TJ Maxx Builds Out New Space

The redevelopment of the Mazza Gallerie mall in Friendship Heights is nearing completion and a much-loved retailer is prepping its return.
The 321-unit Residences At Mazza (map) is planning for move-ins by the end of the summer, and build out of the TJ Maxx store recently began. When the redevelopment of the mall was announced, TJ Maxx said it would return to its old location at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Jennifer Street NW, and now it is making good on that promise. In addition to TJ Maxx, Total Wine & More will also be moving into the new 7-story development.

The units at the apartment building will range from studios to three-bedroom homes, including 12 duplex townhouses and 29 penthouses with private terraces. Resident amenities include a courtyard pool and sundeck, a golf simulator, and a landscaped roof deck with a large event space and demonstration kitchen.
