Mark Penn, the longtime political strategist and pollster who has advised everyone from President Bill Clinton to Microsoft, will put his Georgetown estate on the market in the coming weeks for just under $15 million.
The O Street property will be the most expensive home on the market in the neighborhood when it is listed in early March with Daniel Heider of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty. Heider did not respond to UrbanTurf's request for comment on the listing.
The compound encompasses approximately 7,200 square feet split between a main residence and a fully integrated guest house, both sitting on a rare neighborhood lot that includes a central courtyard with a lap pool.
Penn purchased the home more than 20 years ago and it was remodeled in 2019. The main house features formal living and dining rooms with fireplaces on the main level, along with a kitchen equipped with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, dual wine storage, and French doors opening to the courtyard. The courtyard centers on a lap pool with fountains, flagstone patios, and an outdoor kitchen.
Upstairs, the primary suite occupies its own wing with dual walk-in closets and a spa bath, while additional bedrooms offer flexibility for various uses. The lower level contains a gym, an eight-seat theater, and a recreation room. The listing also features a guest house with direct access to a two-car garage.
