Luxury Lofts and Rooftop Cocktails: Our Usual Wednesday Night

On Wednesday night, we dropped by the cocktail reception on the roof of Yale Steam Laundry. While the crab cakes, cocktails and expansive views kept most people on the roof, we were there to tour the lofts that we had been hearing so much about.

The story of Yale Steam Laundry is fairly well known. Formerly one of the largest steam laundries in the city, the property was transformed in recent years into luxury lofts and condos. The main building has 16 loft-style condos (photos below), a fitness center, billiards room, and a rooftop pool. The second building has approximately 130 units that offer more traditional floorplans.
While the rooftop was bustling last night, we snuck downstairs to take a few shots of the lofts that were on display.

These photos are of a 1,255 square-foot, one-bedroom/den duplex loft. The unit is currently listed for $684,900. The living area is located on the main level and the den and bedroom are upstairs.

These two shots provide good perspective for just how large the windows are in the units at Yale Steam Laundry. It was 7pm when we took these photos and the natural light was still illuminating much of the unit.
