In July, Virginia and Maryland Lead The Way For Home Buyer Demand

Virginia is still at the top of the list when it comes to homebuyer demand in the DC region, but Maryland is sneaking its way in.
The Bright T3 Home Demand Index, a tool that inputs housing market data points to deliver a score that provides a sense of the homebuying demand in certain areas, concluded that the zip codes with the highest demand in July largely were located in Virginia.

Of the ten zip codes with the highest T3 index score, which incorporates metrics like showing requests and appointments, home searches and views, and home sales, seven were located in Virginia.
While Virginia remains most in-demand , two Maryland zip codes -- 20708, home to Laurel, and 20716, home to Bowie -- cracked the top five zip codes with the highest demand. The one DC zip code in the top ten was 20005, which largely consists of the southern half of Logan Circle.
