Hold the Bus! New DC Bus Tracking App Launches

BusTrackDC
Late last year, DC’s NextBus application disappeared. Today, DCist reports that a new bus time arrival app has launched to take its place.
BusTrackDC is the creation of Jason Rosenbaum who used to utilize NextBus daily. However, the new app operates a little differently from NextBus. From DCist:
BusTrackDC uses an iPhone’s mapping capability to pinpoint the nearest stops. Tapping on one of the pins will prompt a menu of the available bus routes, along with the estimated arrival times of the next five buses.
BusTrack DC gets its data directly from WMATA’s public feed; NextBus’ data came from a California-based company. The new app can be downloaded for free here. Once you give it a test run, let us know how it works in the comments.
