The Georgetown compound that includes a property where Jackie Kennedy once lived found a buyer at auction last week.
The residential compound along the 3000 block of N Street NW (map), which includes the house that Jackie Kennedy lived in following President Kennedy's assassination, was auctioned after hitting the market for $26.5 million in March. Jonathan Taylor and Max Rabin of TTR Sotheby's International Realty represented the sellers and Sotheby's Concierge Auctions facilitated the auction process. The buyer bought the listing sight unseen, according to a source.

The homes at 3003, 3009 and 3017 N Street NW were combined by the late construction entrepreneur David W. Hudgens into one contiguous mansion spanning about 16,300 square feet with 13 bedrooms. Mr. Hudgens passed away at the end of 2022.
Following President Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, Jackie Kennedy lived briefly at the house of friend and politician Averell Harriman before buying a seven-bedroom home on N Street NW that is part of the listing that sold last week. She lived at the home briefly before moving to New York in 1964. Hudgens purchased the home in 2017 to go along with the two adjacent properties he owned.
