Some changes are afoot for one of the largest condo projects on the boards in Northern Virginia.

Last summer, Taicoon Property Partners pitched plans for a 94-unit luxury condominium project at 1501 Langston Boulevard (map). Now, revisions to that proposal have been filed with Arlington County that will make the project a little bit smaller and a little bit shorter.

Originally planned to be ten stories, the WDG Architecture-designed building will now rise seven stories, following feedback from the county. This also means that there will be 88 condos rather than 94. Taicoon will retain the existing below grade parking on site, resulting in 127 parking spots

The development site currently consists of an office building that sold two years ago after serving as home to the Air & Space Forces Association for 40 years. Given the former use of the building, there are plans for a small museum gallery for the Air Force community on the ground floor of the development.

Another interesting aspect of the new development will be the size of the planned condos. Unlike many new residential developments in the region, the majority of units at the project will be two- and three-bedrooms.
