The property that houses the offices of a number of architecture firms in the District just hit the market. 1777 Church Street NW may look like your typical Dupont Circle townhouse, but for years it has been home to local architecture firms like Kube Architecture and Andrulis Janezich Architects as well as the offices for the DC chapter of The American Institutes of Architects.

The 5,000 square-foot listing has four levels that are all currently being used for professional purposes. The coolest feature of the property (in our humble opinion) is a two-story meeting room that also looks like it would make for a nice place to throw a party.

1777 Church Street NW is zoned as SP-1, which means it can be used for residential purposes (single-family home or condos) as well as office space for non-profit organizations, trade associations or companies that have received a special exception by the DC Board of Zoning Adjustment.

UrbanTurf spoke with an individual at Kube Architecture who said that the firm is waiting to see who buys the property, and are hopeful that the individual will keep the property for commercial use and continue to rent to them.
