Plans to redevelop the former Dancing Crab site in Tenleytown appear to be dead.
The development site at at 4615 Wisconsin Avenue NW (map) was listed for sale with Marcus & Millichap on Friday. Plans have been on the boards since 2017 to deliver a seven-story project with 41 apartments at the address. A planned unit development (PUD) was approved by the DC Zoning Commission, and then extended by the development team earlier this year. The developer cited an inability to secure overnmental agency approvals as the reason for the extension.
