Deal of the Week: A Bargain Fit For a Bishop
1715 15th Street NW, #19
The former chapel of one of DC’s oldest parish schools, St. Augustine’s Parochial School at 1715 15th Street NW (map), was sold in 1979 and converted into a condo project known as Bishop’s Gate. The gated community has 60 condos that range in size and layout, but many maintain the tall ceilings (some as high as 50 feet) and stained glass windows you would expect from a church conversion.
Bedroom
This installment of Deal of the Week may not have the 50-foot ceilings like some of the other units at Bishop’s Gate, but it has a pretty good price tag, considering its location and the amount of space it offers. The two-level townhouse-like property has both bedrooms on the upper floor with a living area, kitchen and patio space on the lower level.
Patio
The monthly fees may look a little high, but keep in mind that the listing is in a secure gated community and comes with a garage parking space. It also has some pretty cool looking pieces of art that unfortunately probably do not convey.
