DC's Most Expensive "Homes" To Be Listed For $22 Million
Is the next Evermay or Halcyon House located in Kalorama?
Late Wednesday, the Washington Business Journal reported that adjacent mansions on S Street NW, known for housing the Textile Museum, will be listed for sale for $22 million. For the price, the new owner will get 27,000 square feet of living space and 7,000 square feet of gardens at 2320-2330 S Street NW (map).
There is one little wrinkle to the property owning the crown as the most expensive home in the city, though, and that is that it might not be turned into a residence. Zoning allows for it to be converted into an embassy or private school, in addition to a home.
The properties will be listed by Coldwell Banker.
