Dan Snyder's River View Estate To Return To The Market For Just South Of $50 Million

The saga of Dan Snyder's DC-area real estate holdings continues.
The former Washington Commanders owner's River View estate — a 16.5-acre spread along the Potomac River in Alexandria — is set to return to the market in two weeks, this time asking $49.9 million. That's a notable step down from the $60 million the property was once listed for, though it still ranks among the priciest listings to ever hit the market in the region.
The listing includes a 16,000 square-foot main house, 400 feet of water frontage, a three-bedroom guest house, a fully reconstituted carriage house with four parking spaces and a studio apartment, and a waterfront dock. The home also has a library, game room, home office, gym and spa with a resistance pool, steam and sauna rooms, and a 15-seat home theater. Snyder and his wife purchased River View in October 2021 for $48 million from Robert Stevens, the former CEO of Lockheed Martin.
The relisting comes just months after Snyder's other notable Potomac estate met a very different fate. That property — a 30,000 square-foot home along the Potomac that was first listed privately for $49 million back in 2018 — went through years of price cuts before Snyder donated it to the American Cancer Society in 2024. In December, it hit the auction block and sold for $13.26 million — a steep discount from its original ask.
River View will be relisted with Michael Sobhi of The Sobhi Group on May 20.
