1045 Wisconsin Avenue, an eight-unit condo building along the C&O Canal in Georgetown, recently started construction.
The high-end project from developer EastBanc is a few blocks from the Potomac and will consist of luxury units in the 3,000- to 4,000-square-foot range.
The developers are building on a portion of an existing parking lot on the south side of the canal. The window-heavy building will have retail on the ground floor, and all of the units will have north views overlooking the canal, and southern views of the Grace Church yard, with the river in the distance.
Construction is expected to be complete by mid-2014. As for prices, we’re thinking somewhere in the $1,000 square-foot range.
