It has been awhile since a home with a lofty price tag entered the DC area market but that will change in the coming weeks.
A McLean estate dubbed the “Castle on the Potomac”, due to its perch above the Potomac River and Tuscan-villa design, will be listed for sale later this month for $22 million. Megan and Alex Thiel of Long & Foster will be representing the seller.

In addition to its location high above the river, the 16,000 square-foot residence has many calling cards of a home carrying a $20-million price tag, including wood floors imported from around the world, an in-home theater, several different game and recreation areas, and even an underground escape room described in the listing as the "safe haven that you'd expect."
Unlike most luxury homes in the DC region, this listing has a swimming pool, hot tub and sauna that are all located on indoors, allowing the future owner to use them year-round. More photos below.
