C. Boyden Gray's $12 Million Georgetown Home Appears To Have Found A Buyer

'Tis the season for big ticket home sales in the DC area.
The 11,000 square-foot Georgetown mansion owned by Republican strategist C. Boyden Gray went under contract with contingencies shortly before Thanksgiving at a list price of $12.5 million. However, the status on the home was switched to "off market" just a day later. Listing agent Lenore Rubino declined to comment on the transaction.
The four-level listing hit the market back in March with Rubino, Jamie Peva and Nancy Taylor Bubes of Washington Fine Properties. The eight-bedroom home in Georgetown's East Village features an elevator, catering kitchen and wine cellar, and the grounds include an expansive lawn (by Georgetown standards) and a two-car garage.
The home is just the latest property in the upper stratosphere of the DC-area housing market to find a buyer. Below are some other high-priced transactions that have occurred over the last two months:
