BRICK CITY: DC's New LEGO Exhibit Brings in Architecture From Around the World

LEGO lovers will likely be first in line for the National Building Museum's latest exhibit.
BRICK CITY, opening to the public this weekend, celebrates iconic architecture from cities around the world with careful recreations of some of the world's most famous buildings and sites...in LEGO form.

The exhibit will features 37 different structures from U.K.-based artist Warren Elsmore. Some of those LEGO creations include:
- The Lincoln Memorial made from 2,000 LEGOs.
- The Empire State Building.
- A castle in medieval Japan.
- The Las Vegas strip.
- The Roman colosseum.
The centerpiece of the exhibition is London’s St. Pancras Station, measuring 12-feet-long and built from over 180,000 standard LEGO bricks. Below, UrbanTurf has included a few images of the re-creations. The exhibit will run for two years starting on Saturday.
