In this week’s edition of Best New Listings, UrbanTurf looks at a compact rowhouse in northeast Capitol Hill; a three-bed in Del Ray; and a classically-styled rowhouse in Mount Pleasant.

A Compact Rowhouse Bordering Capitol Hill and Hill East

Homes in this area of DC, nestled between H Street NE and Lincoln Park, have been hitting the market frequently this year, and the 300 block of 14th Street NE is no exception (a new home on this block seems to hit the market every month). Case in point, this rowhouse’s neighbor was listed this week as well. But unlike its somewhat less-updated twin, this two-bedroom has large expanses of exposed brick and an updated kitchen.

  • Price: $479,000

A Del Ray Bungalow with a Big Yard

UrbanTurf has written about the charms of Del Ray in recent years, and this bungalow fits in well with that description. There is very good flow and plenty of character on the first floor, though the basement could use finishing. Upstairs, the classic bungalow’s sloping walls eat up some of the bedroom space, but outside a large, sunlit backyard and garage complete the picture of just-a-bit-suburban bliss.

  • Full Listing: 2603 Terrett Avenue (map)
  • Price: $725,000
  • Bedrooms: Three
  • Bathrooms: 1.5
  • Year Built: 1935
  • Listing Agent: Robyn Bomar, Weichert

A Mount Pleasant Rowhouse Sure To Go Above Asking

Mount Pleasant’s housing market does not appear to have cooled off much since we wrote about it back in June, which means that this three-bedroom rowhouse will almost certainly incite a bidding war. The rich paint colors of the traditionally-styled listing complement its wooden door frames and flooring, and the bathrooms reveal brass fixtures and traditional layouts that have been brought up to speed sometime this century. Two back decks and an outdoor seating area make this a pretty nice package for the buyer who is willing to compete.

  • Full Listing: 1882 Monroe Street NW (map)
  • Price: $849,900
  • Bedrooms: Three
  • Bathrooms: 2.5
  • Year Built: 1910
  • Listing Agent: Matthew McHugh, Lindsay Reishman Real Estate
