Like a lot of row houses on the Hill, this three-bedroom listing is much deeper than it is wide. What this means is that the bedrooms are not very large, but to compensate, it has a landscaped garden and patio out back, a new kitchen, and a small front porch. In addition to the cool layout of the living room, the 1,024 square-foot unit has a loft space, vaulted ceilings, in-unit washer/dryer, a private rear deck and a parking spot. However, UrbanTurf’s favorite aspects of the listing are the dining and desk nooks (see above) in the main section of the condo.

Three-Bedroom 1923 Farmhouse in Takoma

Sandwiched between Walter Reed and the Takoma Metro is this 1923 three-bedroom farmhouse. The front porch, driveway and picket fence are all charming, but the real selling point of the house is the family room (see above) with its wood-paneled ceilings, and doors that lead out to a large deck. Takoma Park, Md. listings get flack because property owners have to pay city and county taxes; because this property lies on the DC side, that is not an issue.
