Just across the DC border in Mount Rainier, a Mark McInturff renovation created an expansive multi-use suite that commanded a nearly $18,000 premium. After several occasional renovations, the aforementioned local architect created a belvedere constructed from the original roof, flooding the space with natural light and ventilation; a set of French doors in the loft also lead to a small balcony above the front porch. The three-bedroom cottage is sited on a double lot, giving its new owner plenty of space to to have open uses both in- and outside the house.
