A report came out late last week stating that nearly 9% of homes in the U.S. are worth at least $1 million. With this news, we thought it might be a good way to end the summer by looking at the neighborhoods in DC where the median home price hit or exceeded $1 million in 2024.

An analysis by UrbanTurf with data from Bright MLS found that there are 16 seven-figure neighborhoods in the city, an increase from 14 neighborhoods in 2023.

The three priciest neighborhoods in DC -- Kent, Spring Valley and Burleith -- are the sections of the city where home prices exceeded $2 million, with Berkley coming in just below the $2 million benchmark.

Out of the 16 neighborhoods, there were just fiver where the median home value fell year-over-year. A few of the neighborhoods that barely missed the million-dollar list include 16th Street Heights and Bloomingdale.

Note — Median price takes into account co-ops, condos, and single-family homes.
