Just north of Logan Circle, a new boutique condominium, with unique personality and a high-level of interior design, just debuted.
Built out of a renovated townhome, The Topanga offers just four residences—including a spectacular penthouse—from a partnership between 1606 Strategies Development and interior design company Half Drop Studio. Together, the team created a collection of homes that push the design envelope and aesthetic well beyond your average DC condominium, with expansive layouts, high-quality custom finishes and great attention to detail throughout.
The Topanga (map) is now selling, with its first open house on Saturday from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. No RSVP is necessary. For more information, visit the property online or contact Urban Pace Sales Director Danai Mattison Sky at 202.494.4027 or dsky@urbanpace.com.

Each of the residences at The Topanga boasts three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, and they range in size from 1,510 to 1,625 square feet. Half Drop Studio—inspired by the nostalgia of 1970s California—brought the interiors to life with exciting pattern play, fixtures from small-batch American-made companies, superior natural materials, and a depth of knowledge and passion around high-end design.
Kitchens feature details like custom painted cabinetry in a soothing sage green; panelized Fisher and Paykel refrigerators; beautifully nostalgic, professional grade Ilve stoves; honed natural quartzite stone countertops; unlacquered brass fixtures; and a brass globe pendant lighting. Bathrooms boast brass framed mirrors; beautiful ceramic light pendants; built-in laundry hampers; natural wood vanities; marble and stone floors; and hand-pressed green-and-white-tiled showers with storage niches and ledges.

All of the living spaces play beautifully with color and texture, with several surfaces (the kitchen island, accent walls, etc.) detailed with ornamental moldings. The homes also feature engineered white oak hardwood flooring throughout, and each has at least one private outdoor space: balconies off of the living rooms, as well as roof decks for three of the four homes. The penthouse also includes standout details such as fourteen-foot cathedral ceilings and a series of skylights.

The Topanga is located in Logan Circle, a neighborhood that seamlessly blends historic charm (streets are adorned with elegant brownstones and row houses) with modern conveniences and a vibrant atmosphere. The neighborhood is overflowing with cafes, bistros, bars and upscale restaurants, and there is immediate access to bus lines, several Metro Stations and bike lanes for access to the rest of the city.
