The number of neighborhoods in DC where the median home price hit or exceeded $1 million reached a record level in 2022. Last year, a few of those areas dropped off the list, so halfway through 2024, we are taking another look at DC's seven-figure neighborhoods.

An analysis by UrbanTurf with data from Bright MLS found that there are 16 neighborhoods where the median home price exceeds $1 million, up from 14 neighborhoods in 2023.

The three priciest neighborhoods in DC -- Berkley, Kent and Burleith -- are the sections of the city where home prices far exceeded $2 million, with Spring Valley coming in just below the $2 million benchmark.

Out of the 15 neighborhoods, there were just four where the median home value fell year-over-year, which is not surprising given the trajectory of prices in the area this year. A few of the neighborhoods that barely missed the million-dollar list include 16th Street Heights and Mount Pleasant.

Note — Median price takes into account co-ops, condos, and single-family homes.
