Plans have been filed for one of the largest new residential projects pitched in Northern Virginia this year.

Crescent Communities has submitted a concept site application for Novel Arlington Ridge, a 521-unit residential development at a hotel site along Glebe Road in the Green Valley section of Arlington (map).

The project, designed by hord | coplan | macht, would consist of an eight-story multifamily building and four, four-story residential buildings with 34 vertical apartments. Nearly 600 parking spaces will be provided across the new development.

The site currently consists of the Hotel Pentagon, formerly a Best Western, as well as a Comfort Inn.  These buildings would be demolished to make way for the new project.

Arlington County will likely consider these plans in early 2024.
