96-Unit Short-Term Rental Development Planned For Former Georgetown Retirement Home
The Georgetown
While the redevelopment plans for The Latham Hotel no longer include short-term micro-units that doesn’t mean that temporary rentals aren’t planned for Georgetown.
The Holladay Corporation is planning to turn The Georgetown, a former retirement community at 2512 Q Street NW (map), into a 96-unit rental development, UrbanTurf has learned. Early plans have the units ranging in size from 350 to 535 square feet, and the minimum lease term would be thirty days. The last residents of The Georgetown moved out in 2014.

While the development is matter-of-right, it could face opposition from neighbors and will also have to pass muster with the Old Georgetown Board.
The project is in its very early stages, but UrbanTurf will continue to update its progress as new developments occur.
