A month ago, WAMU's Martin Austermuhle wrote a fascinating piece about the history and peculiarities of DC's triangular plots of land.
Now, one of those lots has been listed for sale in a popular part of town.
1706 Florida Avenue NW (map) is a triangular piece of land where Florida Avenue NW meets V Street NW at the southern edge of Adams Morgan. The lot was listed for $70,000 by Farone Williams on Wednesday.

The plot of land is zoned RA-2, which means that moderate density residential could be a possibilty on site, however lot occupancy and rear yard restrictions might make that difficult. The WAMU piece also pointed out that a house currently being constructed on a triangular lot in Manor Park ran into an issue when the city issued a stop work order because the property under construction looked as though it was encroaching on the sidewalk.
While residential might not be an easy option here, it's certainly not impossible.
